It was recorded by al-Ḥākim (3/176-177) from Muḥammad ibn Muṣʿab, who narrated to us from al-Awzāʿī, from Abū ʿAmmār Shaddād ibn ʿAbd Allāh, from Umm al-Faḍl bint al-Ḥārith. "that she entered upon the Messenger of Allāh (ṣallá Allāhu ʿalayhi wa-sallam), and said: O Messenger of Allāh, I had a disturbing dream last night. He said: And what is it? She said: It is severe. He said: And what is it? She said: I saw as if a piece of your body was cut off and placed in my lap. He said: You have seen something good. Fāṭimah will give birth to a boy, if Allāh wills, and he will be in your lap. So Fāṭimah gave birth to al-Ḥusayn, and he was in my lap as the Messenger of Allāh (ṣallá Allāhu ʿalayhi wa-sallam) said. One day, I entered upon the Messenger of Allāh (ṣallá Allāhu ʿalayhi wa-sallam) and placed him in his lap, then I turned away and saw the eyes of the Messenger of Allāh (ṣallá Allāhu ʿalayhi wa-sallam) shedding tears. She said: So I said: O Prophet of Allāh, may my father and mother be sacrificed for you, what is the matter with you? ..." He mentioned it and said: "Authentic according to the criteria of the two Shaykhs." Al-Dhahabī commented on it by saying: "I say: Rather, it is disconnected and weak, for Shaddād did not meet Umm al-Faḍl, and Muḥammad ibn Muṣʿab is weak." I say: However, it has numerous supporting narrations that testify to its authenticity, including what is with Aḥmad (6/294), who narrated to us from Wakīʿ, who said: ʿAbd Allāh ibn Saʿīd narrated to me from his father, from ʿĀʾishah or Umm Salamah. Wakīʿ said: He, meaning ʿAbd Allāh ibn Saʿīd, was uncertain - that the Prophet (ṣallá Allāhu ʿalayhi wa-sallam) said to one of them: "An angel entered my house who had never entered before, and said to me: This son of yours, al-Ḥusayn, will be killed, and if you wish, I can show you some of the soil of the land where he will be killed."

"An angel entered my house who had never entered before, and said to me: This son of yours, al-Ḥusayn, will be killed, and if you wish, I can show you some of the soil of the land where he will be killed." He said, "So he brought out red soil." I say: And this chain of narration is authentic according to the criteria of the two Shaykhs, and al-Haythamī said (9/187):
