" this is a sound isnād, its men are trustworthy (he said): and in the isnād, there are four of the tābiʿīn narrating from each other." I said: Ibn Ḥibbān also authenticated it, number (2014).

"Indeed, the family of Abū so-and-so are not my allies; my ally is only Allāh and the righteous believers." It was recorded by al-Bukhārī (10/344-345) and Aḥmad (4/203), and from him by Muslim (1/136) from Muḥammad ibn Jaʿfar: Shuʿbah narrated to us from Ismāʿīl ibn Abī Khālid from Qays ibn Abī Ḥāzim from ʿAmr ibn al-ʿĀṣ who said: I heard the Messenger of Allāh (ṣallá Allāhu ʿalayhi wa-sallam) openly, not secretly, say: and he mentioned it. Then al-Bukhārī said: ʿAnbasah ibn ʿAbd al-Wāḥid added from Bayān from Qays with it: "but they have kinship which I will maintain with its maintenance," meaning its origin with its connection. al-Ḥāfiẓ said: And al-Bukhārī connected it in "Kitāb al-Birr wa-al-Ṣilah" saying: Muḥammad ibn ʿAbd al-Wāḥid ibn ʿAnbasah narrated to us, my grandfather narrated to us, and he mentioned it. It was also recorded by al-Ismāʿīlī from the narration of Nahd ibn Sulaymān from Muḥammad ibn ʿAbd al-Wāḥid mentioned with it similarly." I said: And this Muḥammad, I did not find a biography for him in any of the books I have, and al-Faḍl ibn Muwafaq followed him on this addition, but he is weak with another wording which I have documented in "al-Ḍaʿīfah" (1679).

- "My allies on the Day of Resurrection are the pious, even if their lineage is closer than lineage. So do not come to me with deeds while you bring the world on your necks, saying: O Muḥammad! I will say like this and like this: No, and I will turn away on both my sides."
