(810) It was recorded by al-Ḥākim (4/438-439) from Sinān ibn Saʿd from him. I say: Its chain of narration is good.

- "Hasten to perform deeds before six [events]: the rising of the sun from its setting place, the Dajjāl, the smoke, the beast of the earth, the personal affair of one of you, and the general affair." It was recorded by Muslim (8/208) and Aḥmad (2/324, 407) through the route of Shuʿbah and Hammām from Qatādah from al-Ḥasan from Ziyād ibn Rabāḥ from Abū Hurayrah from the Prophet (ṣallá Allāhu ʿalayhi wa-sallam) with it. ʿImrān al-Qaṭṭān contradicted them, saying: from Qatādah from ʿAbd Allāh ibn Rabāḥ from Abū Hurayrah. It was recorded by al-Ṭayālisī (2770 - his arrangement) and from him by Aḥmad (2/511) and al-Ḥākim (4/516), who said: "Its chain of narration is authentic." al-Dhahabī agreed with him! And I say: No, for this al-Qaṭṭān has weakness in his memory, and his ḥadīth is good if he does not contradict, and he has contradicted here in the chain of narration, even if he preserved the text, for he said: ʿAbd Allāh ibn Rabāḥ instead of Ziyād ibn Rabāḥ and omitted al-Ḥasan, who is al-Baṣrī! And the ḥadīth has another route from Abū Hurayrah with it. It was recorded by Muslim and Aḥmad (2/337, 372).
