"indeed, Allāh is gentle and loves gentleness and is pleased with it, and He assists in it in a way He does not assist in violence. So when you ride these mute animals, let them rest in their proper places, for if the land becomes barren..." the ḥadīth. "It was narrated by al-Ṭabarānī, and its narrators are those of the authentic collections." And among them, from al-Ḥasan from Jābir, elevated similarly, with the addition: "And if the ghouls appear, then call out the adhān." It contains a break in the chain, and therefore, due to the absence of a reliable witness for it, I included it in the other book (1140).

"they will leave the city in the best state it has ever been, and none will inhabit it except the beasts (meaning the beasts of prey and birds), and the last to be gathered will be two shepherds from Muzaynah heading towards the city, calling out to their sheep, and they will find it deserted until when they reach Thaniyyat al-Wadāʿ, they will fall on their faces." It was recorded by al-Bukhārī (4/72 - Fatḥ) and Muslim (4/123) and Aḥmad (2/234) through various chains from al-Zuhrī who said: Saʿīd ibn al-Musayyib informed me that Abū Hurayrah (raḍiya Allāhu ʿanhu) said: I heard the Messenger of Allāh (ṣallá Allāhu ʿalayhi wa-sallam) say: and he mentioned it. Al-Ḥākim also recorded the second part of it, and he included it in his corrections to the works of the two shaykhs, and al-Dhahabī agreed with him, but they were not correct.
