"there will be men who will assume authority over your affairs after me; they will extinguish the sunnah and act upon innovations, and they will delay the prayer from its prescribed times. So I said: O Messenger of Allāh! If I encounter them, what should I do? He said: You ask me, O son of Umm ʿAbd, what you should do? There is no obedience to one who disobeys Allāh." It was recorded by Aḥmad and his son (1/339-400), Ibn Mājah (2865), with this wording, and al-Ṭabarānī in "al-Muʿjam al-Kabīr" (3/74/2) through various chains from ʿAbd Allāh ibn ʿUthmān ibn Khuthaym from al-Qāsim ibn ʿAbd al-Raḥmān ibn ʿAbd Allāh ibn Masʿūd from his father from his grandfather ʿAbd Allāh ibn Masʿūd with it. And the wording of al-Ṭabarānī: "There will be rulers over you who will delay the prayer from its prescribed times, and they will introduce innovations..." the ḥadīth. I said: Its isnād is good according to the criteria of Muslim.
" سيلي أموركم بعدي رجال يطفئون السنة ويعملون بالبدعة ويؤخرون الصلاة عن مواقيتها. فقلت: يا رسول الله! إن أدركتهم كيف أفعل؟ قال: تسألني يا ابن أم عبد كيف تفعل؟ لا طاعة لمن عصى الله ". أخرجه أحمد وابنه (١ / ٣٣٩ - ٤٠٠) وابن ماجه (٢٨٦٥) والسياق له والطبراني في " المعجم الكبير " (٣ / ٧٤ / ٢) من طرق عن عبد الله بن عثمان بن خثيم عن القاسم بن عبد الرحمن بن عبد الله بن مسعود عن أبيه عن جده عبد الله بن مسعود به. ولفظ الطبراني: " سيكون عليكم أمراء يؤخرون الصلاة عن مواقيتها، ويحدثون البدع ... " الحديث. قلت: وإسناده جيد على شرط مسلم.
- "The first cause of the destruction of the Children of Israel was that the wife of a poor man would demand from him clothes or jewelry, or he said: jewelry, similar to what the wife of a rich man would demand. He mentioned a woman from the Children of Israel who was short and made for herself two wooden legs and a ring with a lock, and she filled it with musk and went out between two tall or large women. They sent someone to follow them, and he recognized the two tall women but did not recognize the one with the wooden legs." It was recorded by Ibn Khuzaymah in "al-Tawḥīd" (p. 208): Muḥammad ibn al-Aʿlá al-Ṣanʿānī narrated to us, saying: al-Muʿtamir narrated to us from his father, who said: Abū Naḍrah narrated to us from Abū Saʿīd or Jābir that the Prophet of Allāh (ṣallá Allāhu ʿalayhi wa-sallam) delivered a khuṭbah and prolonged it, and he mentioned in it the matters of this world and the hereafter, and he mentioned that the first cause of destruction... the ḥadīth. I said: This isnād is authentic according to the criteria of Muslim, and he has included in his Ṣaḥīḥ (7/47-48) through various chains from Abū Naḍrah from Abū Saʿīd as marfūʿ the story of the short woman only, and that is why I have included it
- " إن أول ما هلك بنو إسرائيل أن امرأة الفقير كانت تكلفه من الثياب أو الصيغ أو قال: من الصيغة ما تكلف امرأة الغني، فذكر امرأة من بني إسرائيل كانت قصيرة واتخذت رجلين من خشب وخاتما له غلق وطبق وحشته مسكا وخرجت بين امرأتين طويلتين أو جسيمتين، فبعثوا إنسانا يتبعهم، فعرف الطويلتين ولم يعرف صاحبة الرجلين من خشب ". أخرجه ابن خزيمة في " التوحيد " (ص ٢٠٨) : حدثنا محمد بن عبد الأعلى الصنعاني قال: حدثنا المعتمر عن أبيه قال: حدثنا أبو نضرة عن أبي سعيد أو جابر أن نبي الله ﷺ خطب خطبة فأطالها، وذكر فيها أمر الدنيا والآخرة، فذكر أن أول ما هلك ... الحديث. قلت: وهذا إسناد صحيح على شرط مسلم وقد أخرج في صحيحه (٧ / ٤٧ - ٤٨) من طرق عن أبي نضرة عن أبي سعيد مرفوعا قصة المرأة القصيرة فقط ولذلك خرجته.
