(al-Bukhārī and Muslim) and the Prophet (ṣallá Allāhu ʿalayhi wa-sallam) would make this standing close in duration to his bowing as previously mentioned, rather, he would sometimes stand until someone would say: "He has forgotten [from how long he stands]." He also instructed tranquility in it, saying to the one who prayed poorly: (al-Bukhārī and Muslim) "Then raise your head until you are standing upright [so that every bone returns to its place]." (In another narration: "And when you raise, straighten your back and lift your head until the bones return to their joints.") It was mentioned to him: "The prayer of anyone among the people is not complete if he does not do that."
